In the whole of the NHS Cumbria area just 4,950 became members of the Foundation Trust enabling them to vote in the public Governors.
Of those 4,950 just 1,642 actually did vote – 33.17%
I do not know the total number of people in Cumbria who were eligible to become members of the Trust so cannot really comment, but I think that 4,950 would produce a very low percentage result.
Do we not really care and trust that it will all work out okay, or was there insufficient promotion and information by the NHS?
Many thanks to each of you who did become members of the Foundation Trust and voted for the TLC members standing to introduce Integrated Healthcare into our NHS services.
Of the 6 South Lakeland & Eden Governors elected, 4 are members of NHS-SOS (now known as SLAH - South Lakeland Action for Health) we know that these people have long been interested in the improvement of our healthcare.
